Controller
Milwaukee, WI | $175,000 Base + 20% Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Program
A growing, private equity-backed manufacturing organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and help scale the finance function during an exciting period of growth.
Reporting to executive leadership, this role will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, payroll, shared services, internal controls, and ERP optimization within a complex manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, inventory accounting, payroll, AP, AR, and fixed assets
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Partner with Operations leadership to improve profitability, efficiency, and business performance
- Lead annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP optimization efforts
- Develop and mentor accounting leadership team members, including managers responsible for Accounting Operations, Cost Accounting, Payroll, and Shared Services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- 7+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing finance
- Experience leading financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
- ERP experience in a complex manufacturing setting
- CPA strongly preferred
Preferred Background
- Automotive, industrial manufacturing, aftermarket, remanufacturing, or related industries
- Experience supporting private equity-backed or high-growth organizations
- Infor SyteLine ERP experience a plus
- Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing exposure

Pay: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
