Type: Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission + Quarterly Bonus + Annual Profit Sharing Plan

Manage and expand an established sales territory of retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice operators.

Promote a large range of bulk food products, Delicatessen/Refrigerated/and Frozen items, and exclusive manufactured items within assigned territory
- Gain a basic understanding of the 5,000+ items stocked by Dutch Valley Foods and translate into selling strategies that increases market share for the company

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory

Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular in-person and virtual visits

Present and sell bulk food products, programs, and value-added services

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate orders, competitive pricing, and timely fulfillment

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs

Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals

Maintain accurate records of sales activity using CRM tools

Minimum of 5 years previous grocery, deli, retail, food and/or sales experience

Experience with CRM software and using MSOffice and Outlook

Superior time management skills, flexibility and willingness to travel with frequent overnight stays required up to 60% of the time

Strong fact-based data driven selling skills; ability to create, interpret, and present sales data to customers
- Strong cold calling skills; strong listening, written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated, self-disciplined and a good steward as it relates to company resources

Demonstrated ability to manage an assigned sales territory and consistently deliver results

Safe driving record with current driver's license
