Position OverviewThe Program Director is responsible for the operational leadership and daily management of a 3.1 Low Intensity Residential Substance Use Treatment Program. This role oversees program operations, supervises Behavioral Technician staff, ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, and maintains a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment. The Program Director ensures program integrity, supports staff performance, and promotes high‑quality service delivery consistent with organizational standards and Maryland regulatory expectations.Program Operations & Oversight
- Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership for the 3.1 residential program.
- Ensure program activities, schedules, and residential routines are implemented consistently and effectively.
- Maintain compliance with Maryland Department of Health (MDH) regulations, COMAR, CARF Behavioral Health Standards, and HIPAA as applicable to residential operations.
- Monitor facility safety, cleanliness, and adherence to residential program protocols.
- Coordinate with clinical leadership to support smooth integration of clinical and residential services.
Behavioral Technician Supervision
- Supervise Behavioral Technician staff, including scheduling, performance feedback, daily support, and ongoing trainings.
- Ensure staff follow program protocols, documentation expectations, and resident engagement standards.
- Provide coaching, corrective guidance, and ongoing development to support staff competency.
- Oversee staff adherence to ethical conduct, professional boundaries, and safety procedures.
Resident Support & Program Structure
- Ensure residents receive consistent support, structure, and supervision aligned with 3.1 program requirements.
- Oversee implementation of residential programming, including groups, activities, and community meetings.
- Assist with crisis response, incident reporting, and follow‑up in accordance with organizational policy.
- Support continuity of care by coordinating with clinical and administrative teams.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate program documentation, logs, incident reports, and operational records.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to policy development, workflow improvements, and program planning.
- Ensure staffing coverage and operational continuity across all shifts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of residential substance use treatment operations, including 3.1 program requirements.
- Knowledge of MDH, COMAR, CARF, and HIPAA as they apply to residential settings.
- Effective leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- Ability to manage crises, maintain structure, and support staff in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and standard office software.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) certification required.
- Previous experience working in a residential substance use treatment setting as a Behavioral Technician (or equivalent role) required.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health–related field preferred.
Work LocationThis is an in‑person position within the 3.1 residential treatment facility.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
