About the Role
MQA (Mirjam Quinn & Associates) is looking for a psychometrist to join our testing team, primarily supporting ADHD and learning disability evaluations for kids, teens, and adults. If you love the technical craft of testing (protocols! scoring! pattern-spotting!), are conscientious and detail oriented, and have the interpersonal/clinical skills to keep kids engaged for 4 hours, we want to talk to you.
We're a psychology practice with locations in Beverly (Chicago's South Side) and Hinsdale, built around psychological and neuropsychological testing, autism diagnostics, and child and family services. We are very perfectionistic about our work (you will learn from some of the very best in the field here), but also warm, approachable, and easy to get along with. MQA has been awarded the Gold Bell Seal for being a mental-health friendly workplace that prioritizes work-life balance and emotional wellbeing for the whole team.
What You'll Do
- Administer psychological and neuropsychological testing, primarily for ADHD and learning disability evaluations
- Work directly with kids, adolescents, and adults during testing sessions, including managing little-kid behavior in the room so the session stays productive (our families are lovely, and some kids that we test are wigglier than others)
- Administer and score instruments from the Wechsler suite (WAIS, WISC, etc.), D-KEFS, NEPSY, CTOPP, and Woodcock-Johnson (WJ)
- Prepare accurate, well-organized testing data and behavioral observations for the clinician writing the report
- Maintain a calm, structured, kid-friendly testing environment at either office
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology or a closely related field - we would LOVE to work with a grad student in a PsyD program!
- Hands-on administration experience with the Wechsler suite is absolutely required; D-KEFS, NEPSY, CTOPP, and Woodcock-Johnson are a big plus but we can teach these
- Comfort and skill working with young children
- Reliability and follow-through - testing schedules depend on you showing up
Schedule & Location
- In-person only, at our Beverly or Hinsdale office - your choice, or split time between both if you prefer
- 2–4 testing sessions per week
- Availability required: weekends, plus 2 weekday mornings per week
Compensation
- $30/hour
- W2 employee
- PTO and paid sick time
