Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial strategy, reporting, forecasting, compliance, and operational finance.
This role is critical in supporting a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization operating in a highly technical manufacturing environment. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO, executive team, and private equity stakeholders to drive financial performance, scalability, and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate brings experience in high-growth environments, preferably within private equity-backed organizations, and has a proven ability to build financial infrastructure, improve systems, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership

Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team in driving business growth and profitability

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling

Provide insights and recommendations to support EBITDA growth and operational efficiency

Support board-level reporting and private equity investor requirements
Financial Reporting & Compliance

Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements

Manage audits, tax strategy, and external financial relationships
Operational Finance Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve cost visibility, margins, and job costing accuracy

Develop and enhance KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to support real-time decision-making

Drive financial discipline across all departments
Systems & Process Improvement

Evaluate current financial systems, including ERP platforms (e.g., Sage 100), and recommend improvements or upgrades

Lead implementation or optimization of financial and operational systems to support scalability

Establish and refine internal controls, processes, and workflows
Private Equity & Growth Environment

Collaborate with private equity partners on financial reporting, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives

Support due diligence, integration efforts, and growth initiatives as needed

Build scalable financial infrastructure to support rapid organizational growth
Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team

Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture

Align financial team priorities with company growth objectives
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior-level roles

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered-to-order environment

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and operational finance
