Duties
- Safely load and unload household or commercial items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when applicable
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit, utilizing packing materials and techniques suited for different types of belongings
- Operate box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual transmission for route driving and deliveries
- Drive confidently to various locations, adhering to route schedules and traffic laws while maintaining safe driving practices
- Assist customers with loading or unloading items at their destinations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout the process
- Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met
- Complete all necessary paperwork including delivery logs, route sheets, and incident reports accurately and promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in moving, packing, or delivery driving preferred but not required—training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse operations such as heavy lifting, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment is a plus
- Experience in customer service roles that involve direct interaction with clients during deliveries or moves is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual labor safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols in commercial driving environments
