Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires both technical skills in grooming and a strong ability to connect with pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products.
- Handle pets safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
- Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, grooming options, and any observed health concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
- Assist in animal care tasks as needed, including feeding, walking, or monitoring behavior during visits.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred
- Familiarity with animal care practices, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques.
- Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling large breeds or multiple animals.
