Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 4:00 PM–11:59 PM

GH Logistics is a fast-growing transportation company supporting national freight operations through our asset and brokerage divisions. We're looking for a proactive leader to oversee daily operations at our Memphis facility and ensure trailers, drivers, and shipments move safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do Yard & Trailer Oversight

Conduct daily trailer and yard inspections

Verify trailers are staged correctly and assigned to the proper dock doors

Identify and report equipment damage or safety concerns

Ensure all trailers are organized and ready for departure

Assist with maintaining a clean, efficient yard operation
Driver & Dock Operations

Confirm drivers follow facility procedures and safety requirements

Direct drivers to appropriate check-in locations

Support docking activities when needed

Monitor trailer staging and departures throughout the day

Communicate operational updates in real time
Live Load & Carrier Coordination

Serve as the communication bridge between transportation and brokerage teams

Monitor live-load activity and provide status updates
-
Escalate delays or operational concerns before they impact service

Ensure everyone involved has accurate, real-time information
Carrier Development

Build relationships with outside carriers visiting the facility

Identify potential reload opportunities and refer them to carrier sales

Help uncover additional capacity opportunities that support business growth
Problem Prevention & Escalation

Identify risks before they become service failures

Escalate issues immediately using established procedures

Document incidents and operational concerns thoroughly

Submit end-of-shift reports and communicate outstanding issues to leadership
Qualifications Required:

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership

Comfortable working around trucks, trailers, and an active dock environment

Ability to walk the facility throughout the shift

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-
Willingness to engage directly with drivers and carriers
Preferred:

Previous experience in transportation, dispatch, yard operations, dock operations, or logistics

Leadership or supervisory experience

Experience using communication tools such as Zoom, Telegram, or similar platforms
