Job Overview
The Server Assistant plays a vital support role in delivering an exceptional guest dining experience. Working closely with servers, captains and the front-of-house team, the Server Assistant is responsible for maintaining clean and well-prepared tables, replenishing service items, and ensuring a welcoming and organized dining environment. This position helps ensure the flow of service remains uninterrupted and that all guests feel attended to and valued throughout their visit.
General Responsibilities
- Promptly clear, clean, and reset tables after guest departure to prepare for the next seating

Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary service items (e.g., utensils, napkins, glassware, condiments)

Assist servers by delivering food, beverages, or condiments to tables as needed

Refill water glasses and attend to guest needs promptly and politely when servers are occupied

Monitor and replenish condiments, bread stations, and other shared service items throughout the shift

Communicate guest needs or requests to servers and management in a timely and professional manner

Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned sections and service stations

Support opening and closing side work and assist with general cleanliness of the dining room

Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Job Qualifications
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years restaurant or hospitality experience

Positive interpersonal and communication skills required

Must speak and understand English to effectively communicate with guests and team members

Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under pressure
Physical Requirements (ADA)

Ability to speak and hear clearly in a noisy environment

Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color recognition

Frequent walking, standing, and mobility for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Repetitive motion and fine motor skills required for handling plates, utensils, and POS systems

Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stretch during service operations
Working Conditions

Fast-paced, high-energy restaurant setting requiring poise under pressure

Indoor and outdoor dining environments with exposure to varied weather conditions and temperatures

Frequent exposure to hot kitchen equipment, mechanical appliances, and crowded service areas

Occasional exposure to loud noises and risk of electrical shock

Variable schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs
