We are looking for a Surgical technologist to join our family at the Amherst Surgery Center.
The Surgical technologist works as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with the registered nurse, to ensure high quality and safe patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedures.
- Set up a sterile environment, and maintain the sterile field for the patient during procedures.
- Perform and maintain correct surgical counts with the circulating nurse through out the surgical procedure.
- Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during a procedure, and assists as directed by the surgeon.
- Ensures the proper handling of the surgical specimen(s) with the circulating nurse as directed by the surgeon.
- Participate in stocking and restocking medical supplies
- Follows proper infection control and safety practices in the performance of all duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Experience:
- Operating room- orthopedic: 2 years (Preferred)
