Laser Bounce is Long Island’s premier family fun center, featuring over 100 arcade games, interactive bounce arenas, laser tag, VR, private party rooms, and a full concession area. We host thousands of guests each week and are ranked #1 for kids’ birthday parties in our market. We are looking for a high-energy, detail-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow with a winning team.
Position Overview
The Assistant Manager will work directly with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, staff performance, guest experience, and revenue-driving programs such as Birthday Parties, Monthly Passes, and Group Sales. This is a leadership role—not a desk job—and requires someone who is confident speaking with customers, managing staff, solving problems in real time, and keeping the facility running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate team members during scheduled shifts
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance coaching
- Ensure staff follow all operational, safety, and guest-service standards
- Assist with scheduling and confirming party reservations
- Communicate with parents, groups, and camps to ensure 5-star guest experience
- Support party execution and party flow
- Assist with selling and managing the Monthly Pass program
- Track renewals, cancellations, freezes, and guest follow-up
- Monitor and manage inventory for arcade prizes, concession supplies, uniforms, and basic facility needs
- Assist with weekly ordering, stock counts, and loss prevention
- Maintain redemption counter organization and item rotation
- Handle customer questions, complaints, and escalations professionally
- Assist with opening/closing procedures and cash management
- Support clean, safe, efficient operations during all business hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail, restaurant, entertainment, hospitality, or customer-facing management
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Must be available nights, weekends, school breaks, and holidays (non-negotiable)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using technology (POS system, booking software, basic Excel/Google Sheets)
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in a family entertainment center, trampoline park, arcade, or event venue
- Familiarity with Party Booking Software, Toast, or similar software
- Sales or guest service background with focus on upsells and retention
