Core Duties
1. Supervision and Team Leadership
-Oversee a small crew of laminators (2-3 team members), delegating tasks based on skill sets and project needs.
-Communicate the work plan, quality standards, and safety protocols clearly to ensure everyone understands their role.
-Motivate and guide the team to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
2. Quality Control and Technical Oversight
-Inspect laminated and finished millwork for alignment, color accuracy, and defect-free surfaces.
-Ensure laminates and veneers are applied correctly, with no air bubbles or misalignment.
-Verify that finishing materials (stains, paints, sealants) are applied per customer specifications and technical drawings.
3. Safety and Compliance
-Conduct regular safety meetings (“Toolbox Talks”) to address hazards and safe work procedures.
-Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations, and address non-compliance immediately.
-Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials.
4. Workflow and Scheduling
-Coordinate the scheduling of team members and equipment to match production demands.
-Monitor workflow to prevent bottlenecks and ensure smooth progression through laminating and finishing stages.
5. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
-Identify and resolve technical issues on the spot, such as misaligned laminates or finishing defects.
-Escalate complex problems to the foreman or supervisor when necessary.
6. Reporting and Communication
-Provide daily progress reports to management.
-Communicate material needs, potential delays, and quality concerns promptly.
7. Maintenance and Equipment Oversight
-Ensure laminating and finishing equipment is properly maintained and clean.
-Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues to keep production running smoothly.

Experience
- Prior experience in millwork lamination or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures including dimensional measurements and reading shop drawings.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations enhances your ability to contribute effectively.
- Basic math skills are essential for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments during production processes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation and materials handling is required to ensure a safe workplace environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
