Your Contribution
As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be tasked with the inspection, modification, repair, and troubleshooting of intricate systems on the E-6B fleet. Your technical proficiency will directly bolster mission success, operational safety, and fleet readiness. Core Responsibilities
Maintenance and Diagnostics

Repair, replace, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components.

Ensure the functionality of engines, flight controls, hydraulics, fuel systems, and pneumatics to maintain peak operational performance.

Conduct thorough post-flight, thru-flight, and pre-flight checks.

Execute all required scheduled maintenance, including periodic, 100-hour, isochronal, progressive, and phase inspections.

Identify malfunctions to help restore equipment to a fully mission-capable state.
Structural Modifications

Perform necessary structural modifications and repairs on the aircraft.

Maintain the integrity of structural components and the aircraft frame.

Apply specialized sheet metal repair and fabrication techniques.

Provide technical recommendations to support engineering teams.
Electrical and Avionics

Replace, repair, and adjust electrical accessories and aircraft wiring.

Install, modify, and assemble electrical components, conductors, and wire bundles.

Utilize your understanding of electrical theory to resolve system issues.

Operate specialized equipment including heat shrink tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and cutters.
Documentation and Compliance

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, engineering data, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals.

Maintain precise records of all maintenance tasks in logs.

Ensure all work meets safety requirements, quality standards, and maintenance procedures.
Technical Leadership

Mentor junior technicians to foster a more skilled and capable maintenance team.

Assist in the resolution of complex technical maintenance challenges.

Share your specialized knowledge during major maintenance and modification projects.
Required Qualifications-
High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in aircraft maintenance and avionics.

Comprehensive understanding of component replacement, repair procedures, and mechanical troubleshooting.

Proven ability to interpret engineering documentation, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Proficiency with testing equipment and maintenance tools, including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal shears/brakes, and electrical hand tools.

Ability to perform duties consistently within the scheduled maintenance environment.

Ability to utilize necessary safety gear, including respirators.

Ability to navigate physically demanding conditions, such as confined spaces and working at heights.

Ability to remain flexible regarding operational requirements and work locations.
Preferred Qualifications-
Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.

Direct experience working with Boeing 707 or E-6B aircraft.

Ability to secure and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
Per Diem Details-
Per diem is provided for eligible staff living over 50 miles from the facility.

Payments follow current GSA standards for the Lake Charles area.

All expenses must be submitted via the designated customer reporting portal.
