Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and construction practices. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial builds, renovations, and restorations. The Carpenter/Laborer will be responsible for executing tasks with precision while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
Duties
- Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation with attention to detail.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks, including woodworking, fixture installation, and roofing.
- Engage in concrete forming, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and siding installation as required.
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical labor as necessary for project completion.
- Assist in rebar installation for concrete structures and participate in masonry work when needed.
- Collaborate with team members on restoration projects including water damage restoration and mold remediation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or the restoration industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques including framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and door hanging.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project management skills is a plus.
- Ability to operate CNC machinery for fabrication tasks is desirable.
- Strong understanding of plumbing, electrical work, metal stud framing, and construction painting is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking on construction sites.
