We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Bilingual (English/Spanish) professional to join our team as a Food Safety and Quality Control Technician. In this role, you will be directly involved in ensuring that all food products meet strict quality and safety standards before they leave our facility.
You will work closely with the production, operations, and quality teams to inspect products, verify processes, document results, support audits, and train staff on food safety practices. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with USDA, FDA, and company quality standards, and in preventing risks during daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain HACCP, GMP, and SOP programs on production lines.
- Conduct daily inspections of products, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Perform quality and basic laboratory tests, including chemical and microbiological analysis, shelf-life evaluations, and product sampling.
- Record accurate quality data and prepare documentation such as product specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and audit forms.
- Support QA Leads by conducting environmental swabbing, pre-operational inspections, and other preventive checks.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints, product incidents, and quality deviations.
- Calibrate testing equipment and ensure measurement accuracy.
- Train production staff on food safety practices, GMP, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the QA team on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce risks.
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment (restaurant or kitchen experience does not qualify).
- Hands-on experience with inspections, quality testing, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and USDA/FDA regulations.
- Experience with internal audits, sampling, and quality control procedures.
- Bilingual: English & Spanish (required – must be able to understand and communicate with production staff).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to prepare detailed reports.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for on-site work in Atlanta, GA.
Preferred Qualifications
- HACCP Certification
- SQF Practitioner or PCQI certification (a plus)
- Experience with microbiological testing and environmental monitoring
