An established firm with over 75+ years in practice is seeking a Land Use and Environmental Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. This position supports a highly regarded Land Use and Environmental Group working on large-scale, high-profile public and private development projects throughout California. The role involves advising clients on complex land use entitlements, CEQA compliance, regulatory permitting, and environmental review processes across a wide range of industries and jurisdictions.

Qualifications
Admission to and good standing with the California Bar
3+ years of substantive experience in land use and environmental law
Extensive working knowledge of CEQA, planning and zoning laws, and California land use processes
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Experience advising clients on land use entitlements, environmental review, and regulatory permitting
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced practice
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Responsibilities
Advising public and private sector clients on land use entitlements, zoning, and planning issues
Drafting and reviewing CEQA documents, findings, and related administrative records
Supporting environmental review and regulatory permitting processes for complex development projects
Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda, briefs, and client communications
Coordinating with agencies, consultants, and project stakeholders
Collaborating with partners and team members on sophisticated land use and environmental matters
