Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team for closing shift. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting beverages such as coffee, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy interacting with customers while showcasing their coffee-making skills.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the espresso machine, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system, handling cash register transactions with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure availability.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in food handling practices.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills are required for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures.
