In this energetic role, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and other critical systems on commercial trucks, farm machinery, construction equipment, and trailers. - Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and electrical testing to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and more
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function
- Replace or repair shocks & struts, brake systems, wheel alignments, power steering components, and other critical vehicle parts to optimize performance
- Utilize heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large components or equipment during repairs or assembly processes
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical failures accurately
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service including mounting/dismounting tires on heavy-duty wheels, and hydraulic fluid top-offs
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements
- Support customer service efforts by communicating repair status clearly and providing professional technical advice when needed
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty diesel engines in dealership or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Hands-on fabrication experience with welding and soldering techniques for custom repairs or modifications
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, or other industrial machinery
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair principles including transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and electrical diagnostics
- Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools effectively for troubleshooting complex issues
- Experience working with farm machinery or industrial equipment is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to ensure high-quality work delivery

Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
