At Empire Eats, we believe hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through the door. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Host to be the first point of contact for our guests and help create a welcoming and seamless dining experience.
Position Overview
The Host plays a critical role in setting the tone for each guest’s visit. This position is responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, coordinating seating, and supporting the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow.
The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments efficiently
- Maintain accurate seating rotation to support service flow
- Communicate clearly with servers and management regarding table status
- Provide guests with accurate wait times and updates
- Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Assist with menu presentation and general guest assistance as needed
- Support overall front-of-house operations to ensure a positive guest experience
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
