Overview
This job offers an a positive work environment with eliminating many pressures that most chefs are faced with in high volume restaurants. Additional offerings are: 4 paid weeks off during the year, and 2-3 days off a week. We are seeking a talented and passionate Executive Chef with experience cooking for high end events that range 100 - 220 guests . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and preparation, along with a strong background in kitchen management and menu planning. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and managing the overall operations of the kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in banquet menu production and is dedicated to delivering an exceptional buffet experiences, along with plated & served.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of food production and preparation in the kitchen.
- Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with the catering team to plan and execute special events and functions.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced.
- Implement new cooking techniques and presentation styles to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Banquet Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of catering, food production, buffet food preparation, and kitchen management practices.
- Excellent menu planning skills with an understanding of dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food management.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with strong communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
