Seeking an individual with excellent oral and written communication skills who is highly organized and can handle a high volume of calls. Would prefer an experienced triage phone professional, but will train. Additionally, candidate should have either a valid LPN license for the state of Pennsylvania or be a Registered Nurse (RN). This position does offer some flexibility with scheduling.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing & Monitoring Cardiac Stress Tests: This includes exercise and pharmacological stress tests, as well as nuclear and stress echocardiography studies.
- Patient Care & Management: You'll be involved in patient preparation, education, assessment, administering medications (including emergencies), monitoring vital signs and ECGs, recognizing and interpreting cardiac arrhythmias and EKG changes indicative of ischemia, and communicating with physicians and the healthcare team. You'll also provide post-procedure instructions and education.
- Documentation & Equipment Management: Accurate documentation of patient care and test results is essential. You'll also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting stress testing equipment.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Working collaboratively with cardiologists, technicians, and other team members is crucial. You might also serve as a resource for physicians and caregivers. Some roles involve taking a leadership role and delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel.
- End of day protocol
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills, be attentive to patient's needs/concerns, and be able to execute physician orders in a timely manner.
