Job Description
Are you a highly skilled tradesperson ready to step up, take ownership, and lead a team by example? Structure Group is seeking a Construction Crew Leader.
This is a working position. You won’t just be standing around with a clipboard; you will be on the tools alongside your crew, driving production, ensuring elite craftsmanship, and mentoring junior team members. Our job sites are spread throughout Middle Tennessee, and you will work closely with our dedicated Project Managers to keep residential and outdoor projects moving efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead by Example: Perform high-quality skilled labor across various residential projects, including remodeling (kitchens, baths, basements), custom structures (barndominiums, garages, carports, sheds), and outdoor living spaces (decks, pergolas, patios, retaining walls).
- Crew Management: Direct daily tasks for a small field crew, keeping the team motivated, productive, and focused on quality.
- Quality & Safety Control: Maintain our exceptional track record by ensuring a clean, respectful, and safe work site while strictly adhering to building codes and design plans.
- On-Site Problem Solving: Address minor field issues proactively and collaborate seamlessly with the Project Manager regarding timelines and materials.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Skilled Trades Experience: Strong hands-on background in residential carpentry, remodeling, framing, or outdoor structure building.
- Leadership Potential: You are organized, reliable, speak up, and know how to earn the respect of a crew. You’re ready to transition from a solo skilled laborer to an effective on-site leader.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and a strong work ethic to travel to various job sites throughout Middle Tennessee.
- Professional Alignment: Honest, efficient, and deeply committed to a high standard of professional integrity and safety.
