The Graettinger-Terril Community School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Library Associate to serve our Middle School/High School students and staff. The successful candidate will foster a welcoming learning environment, support literacy initiatives, assist students and staff with library resources and technology, and maintain the daily operations of the school library.

Manage the daily operation of the MS/HS library.

Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources.

Maintain library collections, including cataloging, shelving, and inventory.

Promote reading and literacy through displays, activities, and programs.

Support classroom teachers with instructional materials and resources.

Assist students with technology and research skills.

Process new materials and maintain library records.

Supervise students in the library setting.

Collaborate with teachers and administration to support student learning.

Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.

High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Prior library, educational, or clerical experience preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.

Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn library management systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Successful completion of background checks as required by Iowa law.
