Responsibilities
- Assemble copper lantern components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of lantern parts.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other mechanical tools to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Solder, weld, or perform mechanical fastening to secure electrical wiring and gas fittings within the lanterns.
- Operate machining equipment or fabrication tools to modify or prepare parts as needed for final assembly.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process, ensuring adherence to safety standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in the warehouse environment while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts when necessary for material handling.
Requirements
- Proven experience with manufacturing or assembly processes involving hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, or machining.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and metalworking is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts safely; prior forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience working with schematic diagrams related to electrical or gas components in manufacturing settings.
