Responsibilities
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist with clearing and bussing tables to keep dining areas clean, organized, and inviting.
- Support food preparation and plating as needed, adhering to food safety and handling protocols.
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate timely service delivery.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy trays or boxes using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including cleaning utensils, dishes, and work surfaces regularly.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours.
Skills
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred; familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and proper sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Experience in food running, serving, or guest services within a hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with banquet service or culinary environments enhances your versatility in this role.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order delivery and table maintenance.
