Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
- Monitor clients’ health by observing vital signs and overall condition; promptly report any concerns or changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences
- Support the client in engaging in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction, fostering a lively community environment.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the clients' common areas through regular cleaning routines to promote hygiene and comfort.
Experience
- Prior experience working in an in-home environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior; experience with patient monitoring is essential.
- Familiarity with care plans, first aid, CPR certification, and HIPAA compliance is required to ensure safe patient support.
- Ability to assist with patient transfers using transfer techniques.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with home care management are vital.
