Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings to keep offerings exciting
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food handling procedures during preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure safety and quality
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service in a timely manner
- Support catering orders and special events by preparing large quantities of pizza efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Skilled in knife skills, meal preparation, and culinary techniques suitable for pizza making
- Experience with menu planning and fine dining standards is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation
