This is a Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating and performing radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of radiographic examinations and positioning techniques including those procedures that require the use of contrast agents
- Basic computer skills, ability to navigate through Windows (Outlook, a plus)
- Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet schedules
- Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares room, equipment, contrast and materials as needed for patients
- Cleans and disinfects radiographic room and equipment
- Prepares patient for radiographic procedure: explains procedure, assists patient throughout the exam including exiting the room
- Follows prescribed techniques in administering specific x-rays in order to obtain diagnostic images
- Able to competently utilize HIS/PACs/RIS software programs
- Prints exams on film PRN; participates in department QA program
- Observes patient and equipment during procedure-reports unusual occurrences and records patient condition as needed
- Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties
- Active movement through the work day. Standing, sitting, pivoting and walking
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
- Licensed by the New York State Department of Health
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- C-Arm procedure experience preferred
- Technician License (currently ANY Tech License is accepted in the state of NY)
- Two (2) years experience
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
Procedures: Procedures are primarily injections and ablations of the spine.
Work Environment: OR-like with close interactions with nurses and providers.
