We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team. This energetic role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. - Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Repair and service diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspension, and air brake systems.
- Fabricate parts and components using welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs for compliance and future reference. Qualifications
- Proven dealership or heavy equipment repair experience with a strong mechanical background.
- Proficiency in fabricating parts using welding and soldering techniques.
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and farm machinery.
- Knowledge of OEM specifications and ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics, hydraulic systems, transmissions, HVAC systems, and tire service.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
