Job Overview
Inks Installations is seeking a motivated and experienced Exterior Project Manager to join our growing team. This full-time role involves managing residential exterior construction projects from start to finish—ranging from smaller projects like patios and decks to large-scale renovations, full home additions, and remodels.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working both independently and collaboratively with crews, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and interpret project drawings and specifications
- Manage projects of varying scale, including:
- Decks, patios, and outdoor living spaces
- Roofing, siding, and window/door installations
- Full home additions and exterior remodels
- Conduct site visits and detailed project measurements
- Prepare accurate project scopes, budgets, and timelines
- Handle building permit planning and submission to local municipalities
- Coordinate material takeoffs and ordering, including:
- Windows, doors, roofing materials, siding
- Lumber, fasteners, and structural components
- Dumpster rentals and other job site logistics
- Schedule and oversee multiple crews and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
- Troubleshoot challenges and proactively resolve issues on-site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction project management, preferably exterior residential work
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction methods, materials, and tools
- Building codes and permit processes
- Ability to create, read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and/or project management tools is a plus
- Understanding CRM programs such as HubSpot and PandDoc a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Experience with estimating and job costing
- Knowledge of structural framing, roofing systems, and exterior finishes
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and inspections
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
Work Environment
- Combination of fieldwork and office work
- Outdoor jobsite conditions in varying weather
- Fast-paced environment with multiple active projects
