Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lessons on cosmetology topics such as skincare, hair coloring, hair extensions, facial treatments, and esthetic laser procedures
- Supervise and mentor students during practical salon sessions to ensure safe and effective skill development
- Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and industry best practices
- Assess student performance through evaluations, feedback, and practical demonstrations
- Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques like dermabrasion, trigger point therapy, eyelash extensions, body waxing, and deep tissue massage into teaching modules
- Support students in preparing for licensing exams and professional certifications
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in skincare, massage therapy, barbering, hair styling, or related fields
- Demonstrated classroom or training experience with adult learners or students in a professional setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures and aesthetic treatments
- Ability to effectively mentor students and provide constructive feedback on technical skills such as facial treatments, makeup application, nail care, and eyelash extensions
- Excellent lesson planning skills to create engaging curricula that cover topics like hair coloring, threading, waxing, dermabrasion, and laser treatments
- Certifications or licenses in cosmetology or related specialties preferred; relevant experience can substitute where applicable
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds
