Primary Purpose:
Implement comprehensive program of health services for campus(es) as assigned. Provide health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students. Supervise medical health professionals and/or health clinic aides as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.

Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners

Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening

CPR/First Aid Healthcare Provider Certification

CPR Instructor Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
-
Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to implement policies and procedures
Experience:

Three years nursing experience, preferably in school nursing and/or community health
Salary: Minimum teacher salary $63,664 (2025-26 Comp Plan)
