Overview
Tennis Outreach Programs (TOPs), which operates Eastside Tennis Center (ETC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Tennis Coach to support our High Performance program, with flexibility to support our recreational programs as needed. This role is ideal for a coach who is passionate about player development, enjoys working with youth athletes of varying ages and skill levels, and values being part of a positive, team-oriented coaching environment.
We are looking for individuals who bring strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping players grow both on and off the court.
TOPs is a nonprofit organization committed to making tennis accessible to the community regardless of economic circumstance while operating one of the PNW's busiest public indoor tennis facilities in Kirkland, WA.
Responsibilities
- Support High Performance training groups while remaining flexible to assist within recreational youth and adult programs if needed
- Lead and assist tennis programs for players ranging from beginner to advanced skill levels
- Deliver engaging instruction focused on technical development, movement, strategy, sportsmanship, and confidence building
- Provide a positive and welcoming environment for players and families
- Monitor player development and provide thoughtful feedback to players and parents when appropriate
- Assist with camps, match play, special events, and tournament support throughout the year
- Maintain professionalism, organization, and safety standards on court
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and staff to support a strong team culture and positive player experience
Experience
- Previous tennis coaching experience required, particularly with junior development or competitive players
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both youth players and adults
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented coaching environment
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering long-term player development
- Playing experience at the high school, college, tournament, or professional level is preferred
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required
Compensation based on experience and coaching background.
Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
