Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and comfort across our hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the housekeeping team to achieve and maintain superior cleanliness standards throughout all areas of the property
- Develop and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring timely completion of daily, weekly, and special cleaning tasks
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies, including floor care machinery and industrial cleaning tools
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, laundry areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with hygiene standards
- Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, hospitality best practices, and proper use of janitorial equipment
- Coordinate with other departments to address special cleaning requests or maintenance issues promptly
- Implement environmentally friendly cleaning practices and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial supervision within hospitality or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning equipment
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and quality assurance
- Familiarity with janitorial supplies, custodial procedures, and safety standards in hospitality environments
- Ability to train staff on proper cleaning methods while fostering a positive team culture
- Prior experience with hotel operations or hospitality industry standards is highly preferred
