Sodus Marina and Sodus Point RV Park are growing waterfront businesses located in Sodus Point, NY. Our operation includes a marina, RV park, repair shop, boat storage, destination rentals, retail/store operations, pool facilities, and related waterfront services.
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and practical onsite leader to help keep daily operations running smoothly.
Position Summary
The Onsite Operations Coordinator / Manager will serve as a visible day-to-day point person for marina and RV park operations. This person will help coordinate staff, support customer service, enforce policies, follow up on tasks, identify issues, and help maintain a clean, organized, customer-focused property.
This is not a marine mechanic position. The ideal candidate does not need to know boats, but must be dependable, organized, comfortable with people, and able to make practical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a visible onsite leader for daily operations.
- Coordinate marina, RV park, store, grounds, cleaning, pool, and customer-facing activities.
- Support office staff with customer questions, reservations, contracts, and follow-up.
- Help enforce marina and RV park rules consistently and professionally.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Walk the property regularly to check bathrooms, grounds, trash, parking, docks, common areas, rentals, and customer facilities.
- Coordinate daily and weekly task lists for staff.
- Follow up to make sure assigned work is completed.
- Communicate operational issues clearly to ownership.
- Maintain checklists, logs, notes, and follow-up items.
- Use company systems, procedures, reservation software, email, and task lists to stay organized.
- Support busy weekends, holidays, events, launch/haul-out activity, and peak summer operations.
- Help improve procedures, staff accountability, and customer experience.

Schedule
This role will require the most hours during the peak operating season, especially weekends, holidays, and high-traffic periods.
Possible schedule structures may include:
- Full-time seasonal with reduced offseason hours
- Part-time year-round with expanded summer hours
- Full-time year-round for the right candidate
- Flexible schedule depending on experience and business needs
Offseason work may include planning, procedure improvement, staff training, vendor coordination, customer follow-up, and special projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- $26–$32 per hour depending on experience and schedule structure
