About the Role
Check Channels is looking for a Junior Content Creator to help us capture and edit content for local businesses.
Most of the role will involve taking photos, filming videos, editing content, and helping turn raw footage into usable marketing assets. You’ll work on business shoots, property tours, walkthrough videos, social media clips, short-form content, and other creative projects as needed.
This is a hands-on media production role. We’re looking for someone who can shoot, edit, stay organized, communicate well, and consistently create clean, professional content.
You may also help identify local businesses that could benefit from our services, introduce Check Channels to potential clients, and assist with simple follow-up conversations. Sales experience is not required, but you should be comfortable talking to business owners and representing the company professionally. Commission opportunities are available for new clients you help bring in.
What You’ll Do
- Capture photos for local businesses, properties, services, and marketing campaigns
- Film walkthroughs, tours, short-form videos, social clips, and behind-the-scenes content
- Edit photos and videos into clean, usable deliverables
- Organize footage, select strong shots, and prepare assets for posting or client use
- Help with lighting, framing, composition, audio, and basic production setup
- Travel to shoots around the Myrtle Beach / Grand Strand area
- Communicate professionally with clients during shoots
- Help with other creative production needs as they come up
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience shooting photo and video content
- A good eye for clean visuals, lighting, framing, and details
- Reliable transportation
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage time properly
- Comfortable working on location with local business owners
Nice to Have but not required
- Experience with real estate, business, hospitality, service-based, or social media content
- Experience editing in Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Photoshop, or similar tools but not required
- Drone experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with gimbals, microphones, lighting, or camera gear
- Ability to create simple reels, clips, thumbnails, and social-ready edits
