Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, including operating various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with route driving and logistics planning.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including roll-off trucks and dump trucks.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
