Responsibilities include:
- Clean lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, patient rooms, offices, halls, nurses' stations, dining rooms, and beauty parlor.
- Sweep and mop floors, clean rugs, carpets, and furniture.
- Clean toilets, sinks, and other restroom fixtures.
- Dust furniture, pictures, and baseboard. Wash walls, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty and clean wastebaskets, and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenish bathroom supplies for hand washing at sink areas and disposable gloves for nursing.
- Clean and disinfect oxygen machines and other equipment.
- Clean patient beds, mattress, furniture, drawers, bathroom, and closet when patient has been discharged.
- Follow guidelines for labeling of cleaning supplies, wearing appropriate personal protection equipment, etc. and label products and bottles according to facility guidelines.
