We are looking for a Food Quality Control Assistant to learn and support our team and ensure that Mapre, Inc. quality standards are consistently maintained.
The ideal candidate is familiar with USDA and FDA protocols. Mapre has two divisions. The first is dedicated to spice seasoning manufacturing, and the second focuses on developing meat products and sausages. The main objective is food manufacturing, and we are committed to maintaining company product standards, developing our team, and ensuring food safety.
Principal Responsibilities:
Assist QC Supervisor with documentation and Maintains SQF, HACCP, and Food Safety Programs and paperwork.
Provide leadership to Quality technicians to support operations in executing quality management systems. Emphasize detection, reporting, and follow-up of substandard conditions and practices.
Monitor the accuracy of production and packaging processes.
Establish and monitor plant GMPs.
With Supervisor help maintain and Oversee training of Q.A. personnel on package and product integrity and quality.
Complete in-plant quality status summaries and monthly quality activity reports.
Evaluate daily audit data to release/hold finished products as required (including microbiological data where needed).
Maintain all Company and Customer Quality Control policies and manuals.
Assist in overall plant quality awareness training.
Help with paperwork to maintain and Actively support plant safety program.
Learn to manage and Design Standard Operation Procedures, work instructions, forms, and other materials and methodologies for in-process and finished product evaluation
Perform other duties that management may assign.
Picking up the office phone and helping with printing and scanning docuemnrts for office and production managers.
Oversee Technicians:
- Detection and reporting of routine analyses or investigations
- Isolation of out of specification raw material.
- Monitoring the accuracy of production & product process
- Evaluate with our QC supervisor the performance of each technician within the GMP & Quality processes.
Required Experience:
Three or more years of experience or worked at a food production company.
**Not a requirement, but bilingual (English and Spanish) would be a plus**

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
