Job Summary:
The Northern Lights Drone Show Driver will safely and efficiently deliver drone show materials to locations, unload, help set-up drones for the show, and return to headquarters upon completion. This is a part-time/per event role that may require travelling far distances with overnight stay. Trips can range from same day return to being gone up to a week+ for a trip.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates a pick-up truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
- Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
- Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.
- Assists with loading of or loads and unloads drones and materials. Helps set up drones for the show, and secure area during show.
- Helps load and pack drones and equipment after shows.
- Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions.
- Parks trailers and pick-up truck when returning to headquarters
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
- Ability to remain focused in busy environment.
Education and Experience:
- Must hold required driver’s license. CDL is not required.
- Must pass DOT physical. Must pass background and drug screenings.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting in a vehicle for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to travel frequently.
