Job Summary
In this role as a Chemistry Expert supporting AI Training and evaluation initiatives, you will apply your scientific expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world chemistry input and analytical reasoning tasks.
This is a task-based contract opportunity, not a traditional full-time chemistry or research position. Contributors will complete project-based AI training tasks while collaborating remotely with distributed teams in a flexible work environment. No prior AI experience is required — your scientific expertise is what matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex scientific documents, datasets, and research papers related to chemistry.
- Contribute to AI training and evaluation projects through scientific reasoning tasks, response evaluation, question development, and related analytical workflows.
- Develop, review, and refine high-quality chemistry-related questions and answers to improve AI understanding and performance.
- Apply analytical techniques to assess and extract insights from scientific materials and datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific rigor, technical accuracy, and clarity in all deliverables.
- Provide feedback and subject matter expertise on AI model outputs and system performance.
- Support continuous improvement of chemistry-related datasets, documentation, and workflows.
- Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and integrity of all chemistry-related content and inputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in academic, laboratory, research, or industry settings.
- Proven ability to read, comprehend, and analyze technical documents and scientific research papers.
- Excellent English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, scientific computation, and analytical reasoning.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience creating educational, technical, or assessment materials.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary scientific collaborations such as physics, biology, or materials science.
- Familiarity with AI model evaluation or AI training-related scientific tasks is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
