Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Home Health - Intake Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for new patient inquiries, providing clear and compassionate communication about available home health services
- Gather and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and referral documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to schedule initial assessments and ensure timely intake processes
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all patient interactions, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth transitions from referral to service initiation
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment scheduling, and document management
- Support the billing and insurance authorization processes by providing necessary documentation and follow-up
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative support role preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical recordkeeping practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Office experience demonstrating proficiency in computer systems and data entry applications
- Experience in a dental or home health office is a plus but not required
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
