JOB DESCRIPTION:
An experienced All-around CNC Machinist who’s organized and familiar with vertical computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines & GD&T. Programming using Mastercam or Fusion 360 and Lathe experience is a plus.
CNC PROGRAMMER - MACHINIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- CNC Programmer and Set Up that can keep up with fast-paced low-medium volume production Job shop
- Program and Setup HAAS vertical milling machines
- Coordinates with the shop leadership to manage the flow of work through the shop, ensuring quality and timely production.
- Able to consistently set up jobs to maintain close tolerances
- Working knowledge of G&M code and GD&T
- Able to follow both verbal and written instructions including blueprints/technical drawings and communication from supervisor
- Performs both visual and dimensional inspection of parts to assure conformance to blueprints and quality plans
- Participates in First-Part QA process.
- Coordinate tasks through the production management system
- Participate in continuous improvement of programs and procedures
- Upholds an interruption-free work environment
- Maintains equipment by scheduling and performing preventive maintenance - also following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs
- Keeps workstation clean and safe while adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Communicates consumption and need for raw stock to maintain appropriate inventory for current and upcoming jobs

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time day position, flexible hours. Possible 4x 10hr workdays with 3 days weekend.
CNC PROGRAMMER - MACHINIST PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years’ experience required.
- HS degree or GED required. Two years college degree in a relevant vocational tech program or additional equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience using HAAS Vertical, 5 Axis and Yamma Seiki Lathe with Live Tooling is a plus.
REPORTING:
Reports directly to Manufacturing Operations Manager.
