Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our venue. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize event rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to venue standards.
- Perform floor care duties including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
- Replace linens as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to management.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the venue.
- Operate dishwasher safely and process the cleaning of dishes, glassware & pots & pans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is required.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
