Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Website Development Director to lead our digital transformation and oversee the strategic planning, design, development, and maintenance of our corporate websites, customer websites and web applications. Duties
- Lead the end-to-end development of website projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, technical standards, and best practices.
- Oversee the architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of websites using technologies such as Angular, React, Node.js, PHP, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and .NET.
- Manage a team of developers, designers, and system administrators to foster a collaborative environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Implement robust security protocols including PCI compliance and network security measures like firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, and adherence to NIST standards to safeguard digital assets.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure scalable cloud computing solutions on platforms such as AWS and Azure while managing virtualization environments like vSphere and SAN storage systems.
- Drive agile project management methodologies to streamline workflows using SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), change management processes, and vendor management strategies.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies to ensure website availability and data integrity during unforeseen events or outages.
- Monitor system performance metrics related to database management (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB), application development (APIs), and network infrastructure to optimize operational efficiency.
Skills
- Extensive experience with modern web development frameworks including Angular, React (React Express), Node.js, PHP, Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and .NET technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure along with virtualization tools like vSphere for scalable infrastructure deployment.
- Proficiency in database systems including SQL Server, Oracle Database, MongoDB; expertise in ETL processes and data warehousing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs, DNS management, firewall configuration, WAN/LAN setup; familiarity with MPLS networks is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale IT projects utilizing Agile methodologies; excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as NIST standards; experience in risk management and compliance initiatives like PCI is essential.
- Strong leadership qualities with proven success in managing cross-disciplinary teams; adept at vendor negotiations and contract management.
- Technical expertise in system administration tasks including server management (Windows/Linux), virtualization (vSphere), system design principles, disaster recovery planning, and help desk support.
