- Compensation: Hourly for a minimum 30-day probationary period, with the opportunity to transition to a salaried position with benefits.
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will translate client visions into functional, beautiful spaces by managing design projects from initial concept through to final execution. The ideal candidate balances artistic flair with strong project management skills. We are looking for an outgoing, self-driven, and highly motivated individual who doesn't just wait for projects, but actively strives to create new, unique opportunities for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept & Development: Consult with clients to determine project goals, space requirements, and aesthetic preferences; formulate comprehensive design plans, mood boards, and space utilization concepts.
- Technical Design & Drafting: Sketch initial design ideas and create detailed blueprints, 3D renderings, and technical drawings using Revit.
- Project Management: Oversee the design process from inception to completion, including establishing timelines, managing budgets, and coordinating with contractors, architects, and artisans.
- Material & Product Sourcing: Select and procure high-quality materials, furniture, lighting, flooring, and decorative elements that align with the design vision and budget.
- Compliance & Inspection: Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards, and conduct post-installation inspections to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a highly related field, paired with a strong portfolio of proven design work.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in computer-aided design software such as Revit, and Enscape.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of color theory, spatial planning, textiles, building materials, and current design trends.
- Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to pitch concepts to clients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary construction teams.
