Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field plus one year of experience in working with children and families. Current Pennsylvania driver's License, acceptable State Police and Child Abuse Clearances and FBI clearances are required.
Responsibilities:
The Recruiter is responsible for the orientation, training and development of all prospective resource families interested in providing care to children in placement.
- Learns, understands, accepts and implements agency policy, applicable laws and regulations.
- Manages work time appropriately on a forty-hour per week schedule, submits itinerary and requests for PTO in accordance with agency policy.
- Communicates clearly and in an appropriate manner, which furthers the agency purpose and promotes cooperation and team work.
- Understands use of Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, E-mail and Enterprise Manager. Communicates computer/and or other office equipment problems to direct supervisor via telephone or email.
- Responds to all inquires assigned in a timely manner.
- Composes the monthly schedule for prospective resource parent orientation and training.
- Facilitates pre-service training and orientation in a competent and professional manner.
- Demonstrates solid interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Composes and distributes interoffice correspondence as requested.
- Works to enhance and develop the agency's recruitment program.
- Presents prospective family concerns and recommendations for change.
- Assists in updating and maintaining the agency website and coordinating advertising and marketing efforts.
- Prepares and organizes prospective resource family files.
- Presents all questionable state police, child abuse and county checks/reference for supervisory review.
- Develops plan of correction to address non-compliant resource family files, and implements plan of correction.
- Attends training and meetings sponsored by New Foundations and partnering organizations and communicates information to agency staff.
- Participates in community based recruitment or retention functions.
The Recruiter is supervised by the Recruitment Supervisor.
Salary Range:
$30,000 - $40,000 per year
