Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ success as a School Occupational Therapist near scenic Reno, NV. This full-time role focuses on providing high-quality OT services across 1-2 school sites, serving a diverse caseload of elementary and secondary students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Nevada OT license (required)
- Previous experience in school-based pediatric OT highly valued
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 50-55 students
- Expertise with traditional OT responsibilities: conducting therapy sessions, assessments, and evaluations
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy to support student motor skills and functional participation within the school setting
- Complete thorough occupational therapy assessments and evaluations
- Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring students’ IEPs
- Document sessions and progress according to district protocols
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Travel between one or two school locations within the district as required
- Engage in team meetings with paid administrative time allocated
- Stay up to date with provided district training and utilize the assigned IEP system (training available)
