Job Description Cold Header Setup/Operator - Trainee
Summary: Looking for a hard-working person with either cold former and press operator experience or with a great mechanical aptitude and willing to be trained for a career as a cold header operator.
Job Duties:
- Setup and operate a variety of thread rolling / cold header machines to produce quality products
- Run Production and inspection of product
- Perform die changes and tooling adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Experience reading blueprints and using micrometers
- Ability to read, write and calculate basic mathematics
- Frequent work with lightweight parts, occasionally lifting racks and pans, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude demonstrated
Experience:
- Micrometer / Caliper / Gauges: 2 years (Required)
- Blueprint Reading: 2 years (Required)
- Machine Operator: 2 years (Required)
· Experience in Cold Heading or Stamping, and strong manufacturing background preferred.
· Knowledge of multi-die (bolt making) and progressive blow machinery is not required, but strongly preferred.
Working Conditions:
Usual manufacturing environment with regular exposures to noise and oils. Moderate to high physical activity, involving routine lifting and pulling. Climate controlled facility.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
