Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia through memory care techniques and engagement activities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment in accordance with health standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each client’s unique needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ mental well-being in a home or community setting
Requirements
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice or dementia care is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques or equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with families and healthcare teams
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often required for travel between client homes

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
